I recently saw a small interview with Ridley Scott regarding the Alien franchise. He said that if he was to re-visit the franchise he would want a recreation of a new Alien. The idea of the first movie was that it was an alien no one had seen before, and since all of the sequels and A V P movies the original Alien concept has been over used and the alien isnt that scary anymore, so he would come back if the alien would be reconfigured.
