SGR Episode 40 - Batman In the Media

Posted in Episodes by Dave on the July 16th, 2008

Sorry for the delay in this coming out.  Personally, I blame Tee Morris for writing and performing such a great book as Billibub Baddings and The Case Of the Singing Sword.  It’s good stuff and worth giving a listen to.

In preperation for The Dark Knight coming out on Friday, we spend some time talking about the various incarnations of Batman on TV and in the movies.

Show notes coming shortly

Awesome, can’t wait to hear the episode. I’m currently experiencing a dangerously high level of Bat-Hype!

Just a clarification on Del Toro turning down Seven he said that he is a romantic not an optimist.

“I rightfully said no to Se7en, because it was a great script but it was a very cynical view of the world. And I loved it, I wanted to see it, but I’m a romantic, fat bastard and I don’t subscribe to that view.”

If you have read anything from the Romantic poets or probably more related to Del Toro some of the fairy tales written by Oscar Wilde you’ll see that they can be very beautiful and wrist cuttingly depressing. . .

If you get a chance read this, “a nightingale and the rose” I’m still affected by this story years after reading it.
