This week, Josh warns us not to look into Mirrors, we have a spirited discussion about Tropic Thunder and what was supposed to be a discussion of George Lucas turns into a rather in-depth debate about the Star Wars prequel trilogy. We even stay friends afterward!
My apologies about episode 44 being so delayed. We have a great Comic Con discussion coming, and I’m having to do much more editing than usual.

Yeah, after listening to that particular episode again I realized that you weren’t really crapping on TDK and I felt bad about my comment. I was really just in a grumpy mood because of a personal matter when I wrote that.

All is forgiven. Thank you thank you thank you for the Patton Oswald clip on Youtube. One of the funniest things I’ve heard in a while. Even my wife found it hilarious. I’m sure Dave will love it, as it validates his increasingly unhealthy (yet understandable) hatred for all things Prequel Trilogy. May the Force Be With You.

i love that josh is so upset that he can barely talk about Mirrors and THEN he gets worked up about Midnight Meat Train again- yes!! anyway, had to pause because it’s a pretty great moment. You can tell how much pain there is- just trying to describe it.

I never thought of the special effects guys behind the star wars movies- they must’ve been pissed that their work wasn’t good enough for Lucas, but when in doubt- CGI. Lucas is so insecure he has to change everything until his grandchildren start cheering. He probably brings them into the editing room with him.
